巾着田は、埼玉県にある公園です。「巾着」は、口が狭まった袋のこと。地形が巾着が似ていることから、こう呼ばれています。
行き方は、池袋から西武線で秩父方面の電車が便利です。高麗という駅が最寄です。
高麗は、716年に高句麗(朝鮮半島にあった国)からの渡来人が移住したという歴史があります。1300年くらい前のお話です。
巾着田は、毎年9月下旬に咲くヒガンバナが有名で、その数約500万本。一面が赤いじゅうたんのようになります。
その他の季節でも、桜や菜の花が楽しめたり、ハイキングもできますので、週末都内から訪れるのにいいですよ。
ところで、コロナ禍のため、二年連続でヒガンバナは刈り取られてしまいました。
毎年、赤いじゅうたんのような花々を見ようと、たくさんの人々が訪れますから、安全のため、皆さんが来ないようにとの措置です。
地元の人々は、ヒガンバナの大群をとても誇りに思っていますから、どんな気持ちで花を刈ったのか考えると、悲しくなります。
そして、今年の9月は、久しぶりにヒガンバナが公開されました。
久しぶりに見る巾着田のヒガンバナは、以前と変わらず美しいです。
ヒガンバナが咲いている時期だけは、500円の入場料が必要です。入口で体温の計測や手の消毒も行われます。
そして、公園内では、それぞれがマスクをしたり、ソーシャルディスタンスをとったりと、お互いに気を付けて過ごします。
ヒガンバナは、たった一週間ほどしか咲かず、咲く時期も天候に左右されます。
この時期に、東京や埼玉の近くにいるようでしたら、ヒガンバナの開花情報をチェックして訪れるといいでしょう。
旅行の日程は、ゆったり目にするといいですよ。

Kinchakuda Park is in Koma, Saitama.
716 The old Koreans moved to Koma. Koma is the name of the old Korean country.
You can arrive in Kinchakuda in one hour from Tokyo.
There is a beautiful river and a beautiful flower garden.
Especially, it is beautiful in September.
Because a lot of Higanbana(Manjushage,Lycoris radiata) bloom.
Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine is popular among women.
Because there are gods of lovers here.
A lot of wind chimes are decorated every summer.
They are very beautiful and many people visit this shrine.
Kawagoe is about an hour away by train from Tokyo.
